The DFEL (German Women's Hockey League) is the highest division of women's hockey in Germany. It was founded in 1988 by the German Hockey Federation and is run as a semi-professional league. Seven teams from all over Germany play in the DFEL. Previously, the national champion was drawn from a final tournament with the best teams from the North and South division until the single division mode was introduced in 2006. This rebranding is a personal case study to show some of my ideas for a fresh visual identity to promote the league and German women's hockey in general. I created a new logo, brand identity and customized typeface.
